WWE’s Sheamus keeps calling people ‘gobs****s’ on TV without getting censored and fans love it
WWE superstar Sheamus keeps treating European fans to a classic, very sweary insult every week and it keeps getting past the censors.
The Irishman, who holds the United States Championship, has been casually calling people ‘gobs****s’ for a couple of weeks now and there must be something lost in translation with the US networks.
He delivered his trademark putdown in a backstage segment on this week’s episode of Raw during a row as the likes of Jinder Mahal, Jeff Hardy and Cedric Alexander staked their claim for a spot in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match.
Arguing that he’s more worthy than all of them due to the gold around his waist, the Celtic Warrior branded them ‘gobs****s’ before quickly backtracking as Adam Pearce suggested his bravado must mean his broken nose has healed.
Not surprising, fans were delighted to her the foul mouthed putdown was broadcast uncensored, despite F-bombs and S-words typically not making it through.
One viewer posted a load of crying laughing emojis and asked: ‘How is Sheamus still getting away with saying “gobs***e” every week on WWE TV?’
Another said: ‘Sheamus said “gobs***e” and they didnt bleep him lmao (sic)’
And a different fan tweeted: ‘Sheamus calling everyone gobs***es on national television. Can’t help but Stan (sic)’
Yet another added: ‘Sheamus just referred to Jeff Hardy, Cedric Alexander and Jinder Mahal as “gobs***es” live on #WWERAW NOW I’ve seen everything. (sic)’
Typically, WWE are on the ball so perhaps the US censors see it more on the level of your b*****ds and p***ks, which are able to air unedited.
Scottish superstar Drew McIntyre certainly put the production crew to work earlier this year when he accidentally dropped an F-bomb on Raw Talk.
Coincidentally, the former WWE Champion was building up his grudge match against Sheamus for Fastlane back in March, and he ranted about his rival on the post-Raw panel show and insisted if his pal wanted a title shot when he held the gold, he should have just asked.
He said: ‘It would’ve been simple – just ask me, just bloody ask me, your best friend! You wanna do that live on Raw? Sever our friendship, all that f***ing… sorry.’
Drew quickly realised what he’d said, and turned to a crew member off camera and told them to ‘bleep’ the swear word out before it hit the airwaves moments later.
Raw Talk co-host R-Truth urged him to keep things PG.
Drew added: ‘Bleep me, please. I’m Scottish, I’m so sorry. Sometimes I get carried away – you can see exactly where I’m at right now. Like, I’m as passionate as you can possibly be.
‘This Sunday, we’re going into a match and we’re gonna rip each other apart. I apologise for my language, I’m not that guy usually – but this is a situation where I’ve been pushed over the edge.’
Truth’s fellow presenter Kevin Patrick told Drew he had nothing to worry about, pointing out: ‘It’s getting to you!’
*WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport.
