Mark, 49, took to his Instagram Stories and shared a brief message that read: “For the past three months I’ve been undergoing chemotherapy for cancer. I have cancer. It sucks and I’m scared, and at the same time I’m blessed with incredible doctors and family and friends to get me through this.”

He added” “I still have months of treatment ahead of me but I’m trying to remain hopeful and positive. Can’t wait to be cancer free and see you all at a concert in the hopefully near future. Love to you all.”

The hitmaker also shared a photo of himself sitting in what looked to be a doctor’s office, with a caption that read, “Hello, yes. One cancer treatment, please.”

In the snap, he has an IV hooked to his arm.

However, the post soon disappeared as it seems Mark deleted it.

Fans were quick to respond to the news on social media, as they took to the comments section with one person writing: “You got this. Focus on your health, family, and friends… the human being. The music can wait.”

Another added: “This is not how we want you to be trending on Twitter. Sending love & light to you and your family! Ring that bell like my mom is on Friday!!!”
