Blue Therapy star Paul Bridges has officially thrown his hat in the ring to appear on this year’s Love Island and, honestly, it’s a genius idea.

The entrepreneur, aka Paul The Provider, has already become the most popular reality show contestant of the year after his highly entertaining appearance on Trend Centrl’s hit YouTube series.

Blue Therapy saw Paul sit down with girlfriend Chioma to work through their relationship issues in therapy sessions. His hilarious one-liners, sharp attitude and cutting remarks divided viewers over the six episodes but all can agree it made for great TV.

Unfortunately, the therapy wasn’t enough to save Paul and Chioma’s relationship as they split soon after filming.

So naturally, Paul is now looking for his next reality series to conquer and he’s eyeing up the famous villa in Majorca as Love Island prepares to return to screens on Monday.

Using one of his popular catchphrases, Paul tweeted this week: ‘I’ve calculated it and it makes sense. Love island holla when you’re ready.’

It seems fans are keen to see more of The Provider as the general consensus was: Sign him up.

‘Make it happen @LoveIsland @ITV  he would boost ratings on the show,’ one replied.

Another follower agreed: ‘Omg!! I really want him to, he would make it so good.’

‘This would be hilarious. I’m all for it,’ one said.

‘ITV producers gotta pree the blue therapy numbers. It actually makes a lot of sense. The culture would tune in,’ another weighed in.

Perhaps we’ll be seeing Paul wheeling a white suitcase, swigging from a customised water bottle and asking: ‘Can I pull you for a chat?’ in no time.

The drama hasn’t stopped since Blue Therapy aired its season one finale as Paul has since claimed he was acting on the show and that he wasn’t in a real relationship with Chioma.

However, his fellow cast members and Blue Therapy creator Andy Amadi have insisted the series is real.

Blue Therapy is available to watch on YouTube. Love Island returns to ITV2 at 9pm on Monday.
