Novak Djokovic has partnered with Carlos Gomez Herrera and is participating in the ATP Mallorca event. Djokovic is preparing himself for the upcoming Wimbledon Championships, beginning from Monday. The World No. 258 has partnered with the Serbian for the first time since 2014, and he described Djokovic as “transparent.”

Herrera on Novak Djokovic as a player and as a partner
Carlos has even played in the qualifying matches at the Belgrade Open 250, courtesy of an invitation from Djokovic’s brother, Djordje, who is also the tournament director.
“I think the first time I trained with him was in 2010. When I met him in Madrid, I didn’t even know who he was. What would stand out the most about Novak is how transparent he is: what you see is what he is. He is doing something that nobody had done, which is to give visibility to a group of players who do not have it,” said the Spaniard on his first meeting with the Serb.

Coming back to the present, Djokovic had called up Carlos when he reached Mallorca for his preparation for the Wimbledon Championship. The call was a surprise for the Spaniard, as Djokovic had come from a 19th Grand Slam title win in France.
