Love Island’s Casa Amor returns for 2021 series but it will look completely different

Despite fans concerns about Casa Amor being axed from this series of Love Island, the second villa is set to return – but it’s going to look completely different.

Casa Amor has been at the centre of some of the show’s most intense scenes as it is the ultimate test for the Love Island couples.

In Spanish, Casa Amor means Love House, and there’s every chance it was named thus because some islanders go there and find love, while others have their love tested.

A few weeks into the competition, the men are sent to the rival villa, where they’re exposed to a new set of Islanders who they can choose to leave their partner.

After being omitted from the US and South African versions of the show, fans feared it might be dropped for the upcoming series, which premieres on Monday.

This isn’t the case, but for the seventh series of the show, producers will be using a different building. The name Casa Amor will remain.

A source told The Sun: ‘It’s the twist that makes the show and gives them some of their best scenes and ratings.

‘The episodes where half of the cast go to Casa Amor always rate really highly so producers were keen to keep it in.

‘It’s part of the fabric of the show and viewers absolutely love it. When producers are going to introduce it into the series remains to be seen, but when it does it’s sure to shake things up.’

Recent pictures have shown the original Casa Amor looking completely deserted in the lead up to the hit show.

There’s been no sign of the recoupling firepit, and the brightly coloured sun loungers and bean bags have been missing.

Along with its carefully swept surroundings, the gorgeous blue pool has been shown sitting vacant.

Casa Amor normally lasts three to four days, giving Islanders enough time to dump their old partner and start seeing someone new.

The second villa debuted in the third season of the show in 2017, and it has undoubtedly given some spice and unmissable drama to the show over the years.

Love Island returns to ITV2 on June 28.
