Call of Duty Warzone: New Settings and Nvidia Filters Make the Game Look Good Without Taking a Huge Toll on FPS

Call of Duty Warzone offers players a plethora of options when it comes to the game’s new graphics settings. Players can choose to make the game look really good at the expense of some FPS, or they can choose to prefer performance over graphics quality and set the settings accordingly. And certain settings will make the game look good without graphics quality taking a hit. Nvidia settings and filters can also add to the vibrancy of the game as well as to the overall smoothness.

Even though not all PCs have the same specifications and have to run games according to the specs the PC has, there are still some ways games can be made to run better and look good.

Best settings for Call of Duty Warzone

For starters, setting the resolution to the monitor’s full resolution is a good idea. It increases clarity and just makes the game look good overall. Refresh rate needs to be maxed out to get the maximum FPS the monitor allows. V-sync will be turned off as it sometimes causes input lag. Nvidia reflex latency will be set to “enabled + boost” since mitigates latency issues. Other Nvidia settings are better left as is.

Texture settings is one place FPS takes a decent hit. Despite the game not looking significantly better in high settings compared to normal, there’s a difference between the two settings of around 10-15 FPS. So unless one has a buff rig, one should stick to Normal. Low particle settings will get the FPS as high as it can go and high can add details to particle effect but at the cost of FPS.

Tessellation should be disabled unless the player has a keen eye for details. All tessellation does is very slightly make certain surfaces look better by adding a little more detail. Shadow map resolution should be set to normal, since raising the setting might cause FPS drops. Particle lighting affects how light and light sources interact with the environment, so keeping it at high will make the game look good.

Nvidia filters

Nvidia offers filters. These filters can be used to increase (or decrease) brightness, sharpness, clarity, and more. Some filters will make darker areas more visible while others will add more contrast. Players are urged to use different filters to see what they like best.

These were the settings to get the best FPS and make the Warzone look awesome at the same time. If players just want graphics quality and are confident about their hardware, they can just crank everything up to max.
