“I’m in Extreme Pain All Day Long” – Kurt Angle Reveals the Scary Aftermath of His Wrestling and WWE Career

Injuries are a hideous but inevitable part of every professional wrestler’s career. Serious injuries could put the wrestler out of business for a considerable period or even finish their career altogether. And after years of enduring that pain, Kurt Angle opened up about what keeps him up at night.

In a recent episode of “AdFreeShows.com“, Kurt Angle elaborately discussed his injuries throughout his wrestling career. He said,

“I’m in extreme pain all day long. I do maintenance on my body all day. I do my neck traction, I have a thing called the Iron Neck, where it trains your neck. I have anti-gravity machine rollers, I stretch, I do a lot of weight training. I work on my body a good 2-3 hours a day, I have to. I’m so banged up now.

“I sacrificed a lot of my body in professional wrestling and amateur wrestling. I have to blame both sports, not just one. I’m paying for it now, but I’m managing it. I had a painkiller problem, and I kicked that eight years ago. Not having painkillers anymore is really difficult, but I’m never going back to those, nor do I want to. I’m going to keep doing my body maintenance training, and doing what I’m doing right now.”

Kurt Angle on teaming up with The Undertaker

In another episode, Angle talked about the time he and The Phenom paired up together. Teddy Long was the general manager of SmackDown back then.
A tag team match between Mark Henry & MNM VS. Kurt Angle & The Undertaker was booked. Talking about his partner, Angle said that it was great. The Undertaker was exceptional.
He explained that anytime he could tagged with Undertaker, he knew he was in a suitable spot. Kurt added that Taker has so much experience that the match is more methodical when he is in there.
So it slows down a little more, and it tells a better story.
