Lewis Hamilton Explains His Conflict Over Full F1 Crowds at British GP

New of fans coming back in to watch the British Grand Prix, has made Lewis Hamilton certainly happy as it is his home race. However, the Knight also shares his concern about the growing cases in the UK.

The seven-time world champion will just have to wait for a couple of more weeks before he can race at Silverstone, and meet those who support him throughout the year, as he battles it out for his eighth title this season.

Lewis Hamilton is happy to see fans back at Silverstone but has one major concern

As quoted by Autosport, Hamilton said, “I can’t tell you how excited I am to see people, because it is the best crowd of the whole year. But of course I watch the news, I know about the cases going up in the UK. So on that side I worry”

Hamilton is hoping to have regained the lead in the title against Max Verstappen so that he can give his fans at Silverstone, something to celebrate for. More importantly, Lewis is hoping to put on a good show for them, as they missed him in action due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The British GP will see the return of fans to the track

During the pandemic, fans couldn’t attend Grand Prix because of COVID-19 restrictions. However, everyone could has a silver lining as it was just announced that fans can attend the race at Silverstone which is scheduled from 16-18th July.

The report stated, “We are delighted to confirm that the Formula 1 Pirelli British Grand Prix 2021 has been included in the latest phase of the UK Government’s Event Research Programme (ERP) allowing a full capacity crowd for the event between 16th – 18th July.”

“Ticket holders will be asked for either proof of a negative lateral flow test taken within 48 hours of arrival at Silverstone or proof of full vaccination, the second dose having been received at least 14 days prior to the first day of attending the British Grand Prix.”

“The Silverstone team will be working closely with the ERP experts and particularly the Director of Public Health in Northamptonshire on the specific conditions of entry that will enable the event to operate safely and will be announcing these details to ticket holders in the next ten days.”

This will come as positive news from some British drivers such, as Lando Norris, George Russell, but particularly Hamilton, who is hoping to lift his eighth title at the end of the season.
