On the other hand, Serena Williams began her rise to the top in 2002, where she won both the Wimbledon and US Open titles(defeating Venus) and ended the year with an incredible 56-5 win loss record.

Both the sisters share amazing memories at SW19. The duo won the Wimbledon doubles trophy six times(2000, 2002, 2008,2009,2012,2016) and defeated many top players during their run.

Even though the careers of Serena and Venus took different turns, their passion for the sport has remained the same over the years. While Serena Williams is in pursuit of the elusive 24th grand slam title, the elder sister continues to play tennis out of sheer love for the game.

At this year’s Wimbledon, the legendary American duo will face different challenges from a whole new bunch of talented youngsters. However, experience triumphs talent sometimes and this might happen at SW19 this year, especially with Serena Williams.

The 23-time grand slam champion had a difficult season on the red dirt as she was defeated by Elena Rybakina in the fourth round of French Open. Serena decided to not participate in any of the grass court events ahead of Wimbledon.

The duo reached SW19 and began to practice.
