WOW! Oscar De La Hoya Plans to Fight Anderson Silva and Floyd Mayweather Back-to-Back

Former champion Oscar De La Hoya doesn’t intend to make a one-fight come back when he returns against Vitor Belfort in a Triller PPV. The 48-year-old veteran plans to continue fighting and has already sighted some big names on his radar.

Following Anderson Silva’s big win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr this past week, De La Hoya has expressed interest in facing the former UFC middleweight champion. Besides, ‘The Golden Boy’ has also envisioned a rematch against Floyd Mayweather, which can be one of the biggest exhibitions of all time. In a chat with Lance Pugmire, De La Hoya addressed several scenarios of his career.

Oscar De La Hoya said, “I got confidence. I am going to go in there and fight hard. And then go again in November. Because November 28, I believe somebody said is the one-year anniversary of Triller getting into the picture with Mike Tyson. So, I want to be that one-year anniversary and maybe challenge Anderson Silva.”

“And then, after that, if my body feels good and I am feeling great. I am not gonna take time off. I am going to continue training and challenge Floyd Mayweather Jr.”

While Anderson Silva might enter the ring against him, Floyd Mayweather Jr. may not accept the rematch. Although it would be a massive event for the sport, Mayweather has hinted at a complete retirement after facing Logan Paul in an exhibition battle. Moreover, Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, has also curbed the talks of a possible re-match between ‘TBE’ and ‘Golden Boy’.

The original clash in 2007 was a massive hit at the Box Office. It generated millions. Fans were also pleased to see two of the best boxers collide against each other. Although Floyd Mayweather won the fight via split decision, it wasn’t an undemanding night for ‘TBE’. However, De La Hoya cracked him up with brutal shots.

Mayweather was saving himself from lopsided aggression frequently. However, his sheer skill helped him gain momentum later, and he left the arena with the WBC super welterweight title.
