Britney Spears backing dancer shares BTS TikTok from rehearsals which backs up star’s shocking testimony
A man who auditioned to be a backing dancer for Britney Spears has backed up the singer’s claims about being in control during rehearsals.
TikTok user Nick Pauley uploaded a behind-the-scenes video from an audition with Britney, showing the singer teaching the dancers her choreography for the casting.
It comes after Britney’s bombshell testimony in court over her conservatorship case, in which she disputed claims she was ‘not participating in rehearsals’ or taking her medication.
She told the judge: ‘I was basically directing most of the show. I actually did most of the choreography, meaning I taught my dancers my new choreography myself.
‘I take everything I do very seriously. There’s tons of video with me at rehearsals. I wasn’t good — I was great. I led a room of 16 new dancers in rehearsals.
‘It’s funny to hear my managers’ side of the story. They all said I wasn’t participating in rehearsals and I never agreed to take my medication — my medication is only taken in the mornings, never at rehearsal. They don’t even see me. So why are they even claiming that?
‘When I said no to one dance move into rehearsals, it was as if I planted a huge bomb somewhere. And I said no, I don’t want to do it this way.’
Nick shared the video of Britney commanding the room in order to back up what she had said in her testimony, as a witness to the Toxic star’s behaviour in rehearsal.
After sharing a clip of the audition, Nick told the camera: ‘That’s me right there and I am a firsthand witness to Britney commanding a room, making decisions, speaking coherently and teaching us her own choreography.
‘For years I’ve been so confused as to why she was under a conservatorship when she was acting like this.
‘It’s crazy to think that all the other times that she was acting weird she was just on lithium. Free Britney. Britney, I love you. You didn’t book me that day but I still love you and I hope you get what you deserve.’
Britney has asked to be freed from the conservatorship rule which she has been under since 2008 following her public breakdown.
The singer shared a 20-minute testimony with the court in which she asked for the right to have control over her life and finances back, as well as claiming that she was being mistreated under the 13-year-long conservatorship, including having been forced to have an IUD to stop her having any more children.
