Conor McGregor Comes to the Rescue of Irish MMA Community- Makes a Huge Contribution to Help National Youth Squad

Conor McGregor is amongst the most popular combat athletes in the world. The fighter is known all across the world for his MMA skills and outspoken personality. ‘Notorious’ has been involved in some of the most high-profile combat sports events of the last decade and is amongst the highest-earning athletes around the globe.

Today, the fighter is amongst the richest sports personalities out there; however, the fighter comes from very humble beginnings in Ireland. Therefore, the latest news that McGregor has sponsored the full cost of the Irish Youth team traveling for the IMMAF 2021 Youth World Championships comes as no surprise.

In a statement released by the Irish MMA association, they confirmed that McGregor has sponsored the full cost of the team. Team Ireland Head Coach Andy Ryan commented on the same.

He said, “This gesture by Conor has come at a time when Irish MMA needed it most. Gyms were among the worst hit by the Covid pandemic and throughout 2020, thousands of young athletes were unable to train on the mats with their teammates and coaches.”
