Ed Sheeran debuts first performance of new song Bad Habits at Ipswich Town’s stadium on TikTok
Ed Sheeran treated fans to the first live performance of his new single Bad Habits on the day of release, performing at the stadium of his beloved Ipswich Town Football Club.
The singer, 30, took to the stage at Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town whose shirt Ed will be sponsoring – and which he teased contains the name of his next album – to play his new single as well as a host of other hits.
As well as Bad Habits, Ed also performed fan favourites including The A Team and Castle On The Hill, with the show being broadcast live on TikTok.
The show, which was part of TikTok’s Uefa Euro 2020 show, was teased by Ed and David Beckham earlier in the month.
Appearing in a video together, Ed explained: ‘I’m performing at the TikTok Uefa Euro 2020 show. I’m going to be playing some old songs, hopefully you’ll know them – I’m going to be playing one new song which you definitely don’t. Don’t miss it.’
He added: ‘Can’t wait to perform at TikTok’s Uefa Euro 2020 Show live from Portman Road.
‘It’s a place I love and I’m looking forward to performing some fan faves as well as my new track for the first time! See you on June 25.’
Ahead of the performance, Ed also treated England’s Euro 2020 squad to a private show at their training camp at St George’s Park during a day off amid the tournament.
According to The Telegraph, Ed was given permission to be part of the squad bubble and gave an outdoor acoustic performance for the players.
Ed also revealed the video for the new single on Friday, which sees him transform into a vampire in a bright pink suit as he finally released his first solo single in four years.
