The Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco has spoken about filming her first sex scene on the show, admitting she was ‘totally out of her element’.

The hit drama, the first season for which premiered last year, follows a flight attendant called Cassie (played by Kaley) who wakes up next to the dead body of a male passenger who she spent the night with.

Kaley revealed that she ‘didn’t know what to do’ while shooting the intimate scenes with co-star Michiel Huisman.

‘I had never done any sort of sex scene ever, and I had one in Flight Attendant with Michiel,’ the 35-year-old told Cristin Milioti, Lena Waithe, Holly Hunter and Aidy Bryant for the Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actress roundtable.

‘He’d been in Game of Thrones, so he’d done all these scenes, and I just had no idea.’

She went on to say: ‘When they called “cut”, I’d be hovering over him like I was on a toilet. I’m like, “I’m not touching anything, I’m not looking at anything.” I didn’t know what to do.’

She added: ‘He was like, “You’re acting so weird, you’re making this way weirder than it needs to be.” But I was totally out of my element.’

Kaley is coming back for a second season of The Flight Attendant, and recently said that she wants the protagonist to ‘go ballistic’ in the upcoming episodes.

‘I would like to go ballistic again and keep spreading my wings, because it just became its own entity and I don’t even know what I did half the time,’ she told TVLine.

‘I kind of just left it on the field and walked away, like, “Well, f***, I hope that worked!”’

Kaley also recently admitted that she found it ‘hard’ filming The Flight Attendant without the familiar ‘clapping audience’ she was used to on The Big Bang Theory.

The Flight Attendant is available to watch on Sky One and Now TV in the UK and HBO Max in the US.
