Conor ‘The Notorious’ McGregor is one of the most prominent names in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He quickly laddered the ranks after entering the promotion. McGregor is one of the most controversial figures in the sport. The latter dominates his opponents inside the octagon with his aggressive fighting style.

The (25-5) record holder has an impressive professional MMA resume under his name. The Notorious has appeared in 27 matches in his professional fighting career. He has finished his opponents 19 times inside the octagon. McGregor dominated the featherweight division by defeating Jose Aldo in the very first round of the title bout at UFC 194.

After dominating the featherweight division, the 32-year-old moved his attention towards the lightweight division. He reigned the 155lbs roster by stopping Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205. McGregor is currently #5 in the lightweight division.

Conor McGregor—the Life of ‘Notorious’

According to reports, the professional mixed martial artist Conor Anthony McGregor was born in Crumlin, a suburb in Dublin, Ireland. He came from a working-class family. McGregor lived with his Irish Catholic parents, Tony and Margaret McGregor.

The lightweight fighter did his primary and secondary schooling at Gaelscoil and Gaelcholaiste respectively, in the South Dublin town of Tallaght. The latter gained interest in soccer and started playing for the Lourdes Celtic Football Club. However, he faced bullying in his teen years, which led him to train MMA.

The McGregor family moved to Lucan, Dublin when the former champion was 18 years old. He attended an Irish-speaking school where he met his fellow UFC fighter, Tom Egan. Both the men started training MMA together.

Conor McGregor made his professional MMA debut in 2008 and UFC debut in 2013. The latter is engaged to his long-time girlfriend Dee Devlin. The couple has three children- Conor Jack McGregor Jr., Rian McGregor, and Croia McGregor.

The now superstar of UFC had to work as a plumber in his twenties to get through the phase. However, McGregor has made a fortune for himself and his family through mixed martial arts.
