Ed Sheeran has revealed he has once again written a song for superstar boy group BTS.

Despite taking some time out of the spotlight after the birth of his daughter Lyra the Shape Of You singer has been a busy bee behind-the-scenes.

The singer, who is coming back with his own single Bad Habits, spoke briefly about working with the South Korean stars in an interview on Most Requested Live.

He clearly had a blast cooking something up in the studio for RM, Jin, Jimin, Suga, V, J-Hope and Jungkook, calling them ‘super cool’.

Ed said: ‘I’ve actually worked with BTS on their last record, and I’ve just written a song for their new record. And they’re like super, super cool guys as well.’

A source from BTS’ label Big Hit Music added to South Korean media: ‘It is true that Ed Sheeran is participating in BTS’s new song.’

The Galway Girl star previously penned the song Make It Right for the group’s 2019 album Map Of The Soul: Persona.

The septet have returned with the hit English-language single Butter that is being released on CD alongside a brand new track – but it’s unknown if it will be the one Ed has worked his magic on.

Big Hit Music announced that the CD will be to celebrate the day the BTS fandom ARMY officially got their name..

All the company would say about the new song is that it ‘will make your heart beat to the rhythm of BTS’s positive energy’.

Their previous comeback was English-language single Dynamite, which not only earned them a Grammy nomination, but broke all kinds of records.

It received the most simultaneous views for a music video on YouTube and set the record for the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours following its release.

Dynamite also holds the record for the highest number of YouTube viewers for a video premiere, with the video clocking up a huge three to four million live concurrent viewers.
