“Hope He Can Go Deep There”: Roger Federer Details Andy Murray’s Condition at Wimbledon Championships 2021

Tennis stars Roger Federer and Andy Murray were recently seen practicing on the courts at the All England Club. Both players are getting ready for the Wimbledon Championships 2021. History shows that this is the tournament both these players have thrived on and enjoyed success.

After their session, Roger Federer had warm things to say about Andy Murray. He remembered the previous time they had practiced with one and another which was way back in 2005. The Swiss ace was impressed with the two-time champions movement on the grass court.

The Basel-born player stated, “It was very nice to share the court with Andy. The last time we were on a practice court together I think it was the Australian Open in 2005 or something and he thought it was maybe 2006. We didn’t do it for a long time, I thought he looked good, to be honest, he is really comfortable on grass.”

Roger Federer wishes the best for Andy Murray

The eight-time champion hopes Andy can have a good run at this event since it is played in front of his home crowd. Having enjoyed most of his success on these courts at Wimbledon, the Scot will surely look forward to going as deep as possible at this year’s competition.

The 20-time Grand Slam winner further added, “I hope he can do deep here or have a nice run, the same for me. I think we always back our chances on this surface. But it was great to spend time on the court again with Andy, it was nice to see him out there.”

All eyes will be on Federer and Murray because of their return on Tour after a lengthy period. The Swiss athlete played his first Major in close to 500 days at the French Open earlier this month. On the other hand, Andy will be playing his first Grand Slam event this season. Their matches will surely be viewed by a majority of the tennis world.
