Faye Winter reveals Love Island bosses approached her to take part on the show through Instagram.
The lettings manager, 26, is among the cast of singletons looking to couple up in the villa when the ITV2 dating show returns on Monday.
She has already raised eyebrows when she laughed that she wanted someone to ‘rip her a new ars*hole’.
Spilling the beans about how she ended up on a plane to Majorca for a summer of love, the star told press including Metro.co.uk that producers actually slid into her DMs.
‘So I actually was approached,’ she began. ‘But I think I am mystic Meg, because I was thinking to myself whilst we’re in lockdown, I am going to be on Love Island, I’ve got this.
‘[I thought], I don’t know how I’m going to find a man but the only way I’m going to be able to find a man is through something like Love Island. And then it happened.
Faye revealed exactly what she’s looking for in the villa (Picture: ITV)
‘If I hadn’t been approached, I would have applied.
‘I’m going in there purely for love. I have said I will leave this villa and I will go back to my normal life happily. Anything that comes extra [is] a massive bonus,’ she vowed.
‘I’ve just taken a sabbatical from work, I love my job. I love all my friends, I love where I live. So for me [fame] is not an end goal, it was never an end goal to go in and then come out with anything more than what I’ve got now.’
And who will Faye have her eye on in the villa?
‘The oldest I would go for, mid 30s,’ she told us. ‘Youngest I’d go for is 20. There’s got to be a cut off, hasn’t there?

‘I’m not like a cheetah in the grass, I’m not like “I’m gonna hunt you down”. I’m more like, I’ll just lay there and I’ll wait, and hopefully you’ll come to me.’
But there is something she can’t abide by – someone that isn’t able to get a tan properly.
‘Somebody can’t catch a tan,’ she laughed. ‘Oh my God, someone who goes into the sun and comes back looking like corned beef is not for me, drop me out. Get yourself some sunblock.’
We hope some of those Islanders packed some sun cream…
Love Island starts on June 28, at 9pm, on ITV2.
