How to get Windows 11 THIS week – months before everyone else

WINDOWS 11 won’t be out till later this year but you could get your hands on a preview as early as next week.

Early access will involve joining the Windows 11 Insider programme.

Some people can access Windows 11 early

Microsoft’s update to the world’s most popular desktop software will start rolling out at the end of 2021 and into 2022.

People signed up to the Windows Insider programme can try it earlier.

Microsoft describes it as “a community of millions of Windows’ biggest fans who get to be the first to see what’s next.”

Those ‘fans’ get to test software before its rolled out to the wider public.

Testers can give Microsoft feedback so the software can be improved.

Anyone can sign up for the Windows 11 insider programme but you probably shouldn’t do it on your main computer.

The trial software can have bugs and other issues.

If you want to join, go to the Windows Insider website, click register and follow the sign up steps.

You can also sign up via a Windows 10 PC by going to your Settings, clicking ‘Update and security’ and then ‘Windows Insider programme’.

Microsoft has said it will roll out Windows 11 to users in the Windows Insider programme next week.

You’ll need to make sure your computer also has a 64-bit processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage to be involved.

Windows 11 price – is Windows 11 free for everyone?

Later this year, we’ll start seeing laptops and PCs sold with Windows 11 bundled in.

But maybe you have a computer already, and you just want to upgrade it?
