‘I Don’t Think People Want to Hate Him’- Pokimane on Trainwreckstv and xQc’s Gambling Controversy

From games to Just Chatting, Twitch offers a wide range of categories under which its streamers can create content. Unfortunately, gambling and hot-tub streams have become the most prominent on the platform lately. Streamers such as Trainwreckstv gamble in front of thousands of viewers, and Pokimane recently shared her two cents on the matter.

It all started when xQc accidentally leaked his conversations with Trainwreckstv where the latter was advising him to gamble. It created a huge controversy as many fans and streamers called Trainwreckstv out.

Amidst all the chaos, Pokimane just expects Trainwreckstv to be honest and understand the perspective of others.

Pokimane advises Trainwreckstv to talk about the negatives of gambling too

As per Trainwreckstv, he never tells his viewers to gamble frequently. Moreover, he gambles primarily outside his streams, and also gives away money to people’s personal accounts, instead of their casino accounts.

While many have accepted Trainwreck’s stance, others believe that his is simply promoting gambling. Things have gotten even worse because the streamer is now getting sponsors for his gambling streams too.

Pokimane thinks Trainwreckstv should simply acknowledge the perspective of people who are against him. At the moment, he’s more focused on defending himself and not on the reasons due to which people are criticizing him.

“I think sometimes that makes you wanna go f*** it! You guys think I’m so bad, I will be the villain!” said Pokimane.

She further added, “I just wish I could tell him, like, I don’t even think people want to hate him, or want to hate on him. I think they just want to hear him acknowledge the other side of a take. Like if he just said I understand all the negatives of gambling, or whatever, but I just decide it’s worthwhile for me. I think people will respect that a lot more.”

It is self-evident that Pokimane isn’t against Trainwrekcstv or his gambling streams. However, she wants the streamer to talk about the negative aspects of gambling in a better manner.

Should Twitch ban gambling streams?

Big names like Asmongold have openly requested Twitch to ban gambling streams. They have claimed that the promotion of such content will have many disastrous consequences that people don’t even realize yet.

As for now, Twitch hasn’t commented on the gambling streams of xQc and Trainwreckstv. Considering that the topic is becoming very popular with each day passing by, it’s safe to assume that the platform will reveal its stance soon.
