Kimberley Walsh has hailed ‘superhero’ Sarah Harding amid her battle with breast cancer, and is determined to support her friend.
Sarah revealed her diagnosis in August last year and in her book Hear Me Out, insisted she is going to ‘live and enjoy every second of my life’.
Her Girls Aloud bandmate Kimberley, who recently welcomed her third son Nate, told OK! she is going to ‘be there’ for Sarah throughout her health battle.
Asked if she was proud of her friend for publishing her book at such a difficult time, the mum-of-three replied: ‘I really am. She’s literally a superhero for dealing with what she’s going through and managing to release her book.
‘I’m just here for her with absolutely anything she needs and she knows that, it’s important to know you have support and are loved.
‘And that’s the most important thing to me right now. I’m just focusing on being there for her.’
The singer also shared that Sarah had sent her some flowers after Nate’s birth, and other members of Girls Aloud – Cheryl, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle – had also been in touch.
‘Cheryl and Nicola have come over. Nadine texted me the other day saying her little girl has put together a box of things for him, so she’s going to pop round, which will be lovely.
‘Sarah obviously can’t get down at the moment but she sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and we’ve been texting. I’ve sent her loads of pictures.

‘It’s really nice to share the joy with them and have another one in the mix. We’re planning a barbecue and to get all the kids together over the summer holidays.’
The pop group, who were put together on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002, secretly reunited to support Sarah when she revealed what she was going through.
In Hear Me Out she detailed a dinner they shared at Soho Farmhouse before re-watching their 2006 documentary Girls Aloud: Off The Record.
In March this year Sarah announced the ‘momentous’ news that her tumours have shrunk and her treatment is going well.
