Randy Orton Backs the Bollywood Boyz, Says He’s Sure They’ll Cross Paths Again

In a recent tweet, ”The Viper’ Randy Orton showered praise on the Bollywood Boyz and hinted that maybe they’ll be in the same ring once again. The WWE recently released the duo on account of their latest round of ‘budget cuts’.

The leading wrestling promotion is on a ‘firing’ spree and has released various (major) Superstars in the last year, and by the looks of it, they might not stop anytime soon.

The Bollywood Boyz aka the Singh Brothers (Sunil Singh and Samir Singh) are amongst the few unlucky Superstars whom the company released recently amid the pandemic.

The Bollywood Boyz are best remembered for being the goofy sidekicks of then WWE Champion, Jinder Mahal, and were constantly feuding with Randy Orton.

In a recent tweet, Orton showed his respect towards the duo from the time when they were feuding, addressing that famous bump.

“Respect was earned long before those tables came into play. Something tells me I’ll see you guys down the road. Until then, show everyone what you guys can do,” Orton wrote.

Back at Backlash 2017, Jinder Mahal and The Viper were fighting for the WWE Championship. During one point in the match, Samir Singh was expected to go through the announcer’s table courtesy of Orton.

However, Singh turned more than expected mid-air and landed on the back of his neck. His body bounced off the table, and the moment was so surreal that even Orton broke his character and expressed disbelief at how rough the bump looked.

Orton wasn’t the only one to appreciate the duo’s stint in WWE as many others joined in. One such person was veteran wrestling journalist, Dave Meltzer.

He tweeted – “Sad to see Bollywood Boyz gone. They did great in every role they were given, but weren’t given much once they gave up on the Mahal top guy push.”

Major openings in other promotions

Such tweets of appreciation surely would’ve given the Singh Brothers a surge of confidence, and it is just a matter of time before we see the duo competing inside the squared circle once again (maybe with Randy Orton).

The Boyz are in their mid-30s and still have a lot to offer. With AEW always keeping an eye for wonderful talents released from WWE, maybe we’ll see them perform and extend their career. Moreover, other aspiring promotions like Impact Wrestling and NJPW might also be lurking in the shadows.
