‘Dana White Doesn’t Give A F*ck’- Joe Rogan Get’s Honest About His Relationship With Dana White

UFC commentator and veteran analyst Joe Rogan and promotion president Dana White’s relationship go a long way. The legendary analyst’s meteoric rise is synonymous with that of White and UFC as a whole.

In such a long period of time, there might have been some issues where the boss would have chastised the ace commentator, one would think. But according to the man himself, never ever White reprimanded him for anything.

Talking in an interview, Rogan detailed his cordial relationship with one of the biggest sports promoters in the world.

“Never! F*cking never,” Rogan said when asked about being chastised by White. “Dana white doesn’t give a f*ck. He gives 18 levels of f*cks less than me. He doesn’t give a f*ck.”
“That guy is worth half a billion-dollar, but he doesn’t give a f*ck. He is wearing f*cking sneakers and t-shirts. But you look at him u never know he is rich as sh*t. He’s normal as they come, he is a regular dude. If you hung out with him, you would love him. He’s a great guy,” Rogan added.
The ace analyst described an incident when someone complained about him to Dana. “There was an issue, where someone was talking to Dana about that one time.”
“And he goes ‘hey listen, I don’t give a f*ck what’s Rogan is talking about. As long as he is talking about MMA’…if am talking about fighters and fights am always very respectful, I treat them with reverence,” he added.

How Joe Rogan started commentating for UFC?

UFC wasn’t a popular sport when White got hold of this at the start of this century. To rebrand themselves, the promotion started to host small shows in Vegas. They invited celebrities by paying them so that audience would see the shows.

Rogan was a fan of MMA and he liked the idea of getting paid by watching the shows. However, one time he was having a conversation with White about Japanese MMA fighters. Acknowledging his facts, White asked Rogan to commentate on his shows.

The UFC was still not in a prominent position to give wages to him. So they let him visit their shows for free. This happened for 12 events, according to Rogan.

Although Rogan had no prior commentary exposure, he used his martial arts knowledge along with some interaction with fighters to slow build his repertoire.

The success followed soon, and now he’s one of the biggest commentators on the planet. His success was simultaneously related to that of UFC.
