England vs Germany penalty shootout: Bookies predict which players will step up
THERE are expected to be fireworks at Wembley this afternoon as England take on Germany in a highly-anticipated Euro 2020 clash.
Three Lions fans will be dreading the prospect of penalties after England’s appalling record in shootouts at previous tournaments.

Gareth Southgate will be hoping his side have broken the curse after winning their first-ever World Cup shootout against Colombia in 2018.
The Three Lions had won only one of their seven tournament shootouts before Southgate became manager.
But having seen France crash out of the tournament on penalties against Switzerland, it will have reminded fans of the heartache at previous tournaments.

Southgate is hopeful England will handle the pressure after pioneering back-to-back victories when spot-kicks were required, at the 2018 World Cup and the Nations League in 2019.
He told ITV: “We’ve obviously won our last two penalty shootouts.
“So we have a process that works for us through that preparation and we’ve followed that same process.
“There’s a little bit more focus on it this week but we don’t start it this week as that would be too late, and also we didn’t want to make a bigger thing of it than it is.
“We created a process that works for us, we think the players understand that and we’ll be well prepared if it comes to that moment.”
