England taking on Germany at Uefa Euro 2020 was one of the most-anticipated games, and the celebs were out in force – both in person and at home – to cheer on the home team to victory.

It was a nerve-wracking game, but England won 2-0 against Germany, beating the team for the first time since 1966.

Eagle-eyed viewers spotted that Bad Habits star Ed Sheeran was in attendance on the day, after having performed his new single for the England squad on their day off earlier in the week, and was sitting next to David Beckham in the stands.

Ellie Goulding was also seen arriving before the game with husband Caspar Jopling, wearing a striking red and pink dress for the match.

David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the brains and voices behind the UK’s most popular football anthem Three Lions, were among the crowd, sharing a selfie before the game kicked off.

Revelling in being there in person, David wrote: ‘So…it’s been a while since we were here for this particular fixture. #ENGGER

Ross Kemp filmed himself reacting as England scored their first goal, yelling: ‘Yes! Yes! Now hold it, hold it. Park it, park it.’

Ranvir Singh got over-excited at England’s win, confessing: ‘Spilt my coffee on the dog. 2- nil.’

Piers Morgan tweeted his shock at the result, asking his followers: ‘My God… it really might be coming home.’

He added: ‘BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!! All Kane needed was Grealish……. brilliant cross, great finish… 2-0..’

Sterling was brilliant.
Pickford was brilliant.
Shaw was brilliant.
Grealish, when finally allowed on, was brilliant.
Kane scored.
Southgate was 💯 vindicated in every decision he took.
And we beat the Germans.
What a day to be an England football fan. Fabulous. 👏👏

Prime Minister Boris Johnson shared a photo of him and Carrie Symonds crowded around the TV as he cheered the team on, adding: ‘Come on England!’

More: David Beckham

It appears that Baddiel and Skinner were good luck charms, 25 years after releasing Three Lions, as England emerged victorious with a 2-0 win against Germany.

It’s coming home, indeed.
