George Kambosos Jr. Reacts to Gervonta Davis’ Win Over Mario Barrios: “All Guys Are Gonna Chase Me When I Get All the Belts”

‘Ferocious’ George Kambosos Jr. is watching out for every top-tier name in the lightweight division. As he aims to become the unified  135 lbs champion in his next appearance, the 28-year-old has also reacted to this past week’s big fights, which showcased Gervonta Davis’ and Vasyl Lomachenko’s sensational stoppages.

Kambosos Jr. has praised his fellow lightweight boxers for their recent wins. However, he didn’t hesitate to pose himself over all of them. While referring to the upcoming days, George Kambosos Jr. has envisioned himself to be the center of attraction amid all the big names.

In a chat with FightHype.com, the Australian boxer said, “He [Gervonta Davis] got him at the end. It was a good fight, close fight. Obviously, I was watching the Lomachenko-Nakatani fight, I was watching that fight as well. So, I was trying to have you know one eye on one and one eye on the other. Because all these guys are future opponents. All guys are gonna chase me when I get all the belts. I am the guy that’s getting all the belts.”

If not for the unexpected derailments, Kambosos Jr. would have received his title shot against Teofimo Lopez by now. After a dominant run of 19-0, ‘Ferocious’ received a shot at four 135 belts against Lopez on June 5. However, the fight was rescheduled to June 19, before ‘Take Over’ contracted the coronavirus.

Nevertheless, Kambosos Jr. is still confident about bagging the win, whenever they meet inside the ring. Although Lopez looks favorable in the matchup to several fans, the Sydney native can rightly upset them.
