‘Headless’ body found in Devon seaside town is missing woman who vanished 220 miles away in Wembley

A “HEADLESS” body found in a seaside resort has today been revealed as a woman who vanished from London two weeks ago.

Mee Kuen Chong, 67, was reported missing from her home in Wembley on June 11.

But police today confirmed her body has been found 220 miles away in popular holiday resort Salcombe in Devon.

Detective Superintendent Ben Dee said her death is being treated as “unexplained” and confirmed police are keeping an “open mind”.

Mee – known to loved ones as Deborah – had disappeared from Wembley on June 11 with cops appealing for information four days later.

Scotland Yard said: “Police need your help to locate MEE (DEBORAH) CHONG who has been reported #missing from her home address in #Wembley.

“If seen please call 101 ref 21MIS016922.”
