The Simpsons and Marvel series Loki are set to crossover for a brand new short, aptly titled The Good, The Bart, and The Loki.

The upcoming special, which is set to arrive on Disney Plus next week, will follow Loki who is banished from Asgard once again and must face his toughest opponents yet: the Simpsons and Springfield’s mightiest heroes.

The God of Mischief teams up with Bart Simpson in the ultimate crossover event paying tribute to the Marvel Cinematic Universe of Super Heroes and villains.

Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as the God Of Mischief for the animation, which will also feature a slew of characters from The Simpsons.

The latest crossover follows the Stars Wars-themed crossover called Maggie Simpson In The Force Awakens From Its Nap.

Hiddleston can currently be seen in his own Marvel standalone live action series, which takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, in which Loki attempts to escape the confines of the Time Variance Authority.

The latest Loki episode has left fans horrified as a potential romance storyline was introduced between the titular character and Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) with some describing it as ‘weird’ and ‘forced’.

During a recent interview, director Kate Herron addressed the possibility of a Loki and Sylvie romance, saying that while their relationship isn’t ‘necessarily romantic’, up to the point of episode three, ‘we don’t know’.

The third episode of the drama confirmed that Loki is bisexual, making him the first openly bisexual character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The news was revealed after God of Mischief Loki told fellow trickster Sylvie about his sexual orientation.

She asked: ‘How about you? You’re a prince. Must’ve been would-be princesses, or perhaps another prince?’

‘A bit of both. I suspect the same as you,’ Loki replied.

The Good, The Bart And The Loki will stream on Disney+ on July 7.
