Chloe Burrows’ family is understandably livid as Instagram removed a post exposing death threats sent to the Love Island star during her time in the villa.

The 25-year-old is currently filming the ITV2 series, unaware she has been inundated with death threats, which have been sent to the social media account currently being managed by her family.

Yesterday her loved ones released a statement condemning the cruel messages, but Instagram has now deleted a screen shot of one of the vile posts aimed at Chloe.

The account has shared another post which shows Instagram removed the screen grab because ‘it goes against community guidelines’.

With Chloe being bombarded with disturbing messages, her account simply wrote above the warning from Instagram: The irony!’

Within Instagram’s guidelines, it is stated: ‘We remove credible threats of violence, hate speech and the targeting of private individuals.

‘We do not allow attacks or abuse based on race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or disease.”

It also explains: ‘We do not allow glorification or encouragement of self-injury, including eating disorders.

‘We do allow content that references self-injury and eating disorders if it is for the purpose of creating awareness or signposting support.’

Responding to Chloe’s family’s agony, Love Island released another statement yesterday condoning trolls, stressing her family will be supported.

‘We want Love Island to be a positive experience for all our cast and their friends and family members,’ they wrote in a statement shared on Twitter.

‘Last night’s episode created strong reactions but some viewers’ posts were wholly unacceptable. We take these matters extremely seriously and will support cast members and their families in reporting such posts.’

‘We would once again urge all our viewers to think before posting, and remember that our Islanders are people with feelings.’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
