Megan Fox says having a child at the age of 26 ‘saved’ her and gave her life purpose.

The actress, 35, shares three sons with her ex Brian Austin Green, 47, who she filed for divorce from last year, and she says giving birth for the first time to son Noah, now eight, turned her life around.

She said: ‘That kind of saved me honestly, I needed an escape.’

The star, who is now dating Machine Gun Kelly, 31, added to The Washington Post that welcoming a boy in September 2012 gave her a ‘purpose’, saying that she was ‘so lost and trying to understand how am I supposed to feel value or find purpose in this horrendous, patriarchal, misogynistic hell that was Hollywood at the time’.

Megan later gave birth to son Bodhi, seven, in Feburuary of 2014 and Journey, now four, in August 2016.

Life as a celebrity parent is no different as Megan’s offspring gate crashed an interview she was giving from home on US television show Today this week.

She explained her little ones had spent the night sleeping downstairs after watching a film and they could be seen by the TV audience as they tried to crawl across unseen in a bid to leave the room.

The hosts pointed out: ‘Oh, your baby’s going by again!’ causing Megan to laugh and watch him try to leave the room in stealth mode.

At another point she paused to say: ‘Here comes another one right now. Wait there he goes…’ before turning around and adding: ‘Journey, you’ve gotta crawl.’

The Jennifer’s Body star explained: ‘They just woke up. It’s 7 or 7.30 here. So they woke up a few minutes ago. It just is what it is. We just have to make it work.’

She went on: ‘I’m in the house that we’re staying in for right now, this is the living room and they all fell asleep on the couch last night watching a movie.’

Later on two of her children appeared at the bottom of the frame attempting to get out without ending up on TV.

‘They are hilarious. They don’t listen to me at all,’ the star said.
