YouTubers Rose Ellen Dix and Rosie Spaughton, who go by Roxetera, have welcomed their first child together.

The couple announced the happy news on Instagram on Friday, with Rosie writing: ‘We made it! That was one hell of a ride but oh my god was it worth it!!!

‘I’m so lucky I had such incredible, empowering women surrounding me. @roseellendix I can’t even put into words how amazing you are. @chuikingli thank you for capturing the moment AND being the best doula.’

The pair shared an intimate picture of Rosie breastfeeding the newborn as Rose proudly looked on.

Rose and Rosie began the process of having a baby in January 2020, with Rose being inseminated prior to the first lockdown.

However, she suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, and was hospitalised in April last year.

Rose’s wife Rosie wrote on Twitter at the time: ‘Hi guys. Please can you send some prayers and well wishes to Rose. She had to be taken to hospital, not because of Covid.

‘She is having a difficult miscarriage and I can’t be with her, which makes things a lot harder. I’d just like to say a huge thank you to the NHS who have been absolutely AMAZING during all of this.’

The pair decided to try for another baby last year, with Rosie telling Pink News: ‘Some people said, “Is it right to bring a child into the world in the pandemic?”

‘And I totally understand why they asked that. But equally, people can’t put their lives on hold.’

Rose and Rosie, who boast a following of more a million on YouTube, are best known for their comedy vlogs, and have shared their sweet love story with fans for years.

In May 2014, Rose proposed to Rosie, with the pair tying the knot in 2015. After getting married, the pair combined their surnames to become Rose and Rosie Daughton.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk at the time, Rose said: ‘We are both girlie girls (especially Rosie!) and both always dreamed of an elegant traditional white wedding.’

They went on to say: ‘Both our families have been extremely supportive and accepting.
