RuPaul’s Drag Race UK star Ginny Lemon has revealed they would love to return to the show for another series, but only on one condition.
The Worcester queen famously quit the most recent season of the show after falling in the bottom two and being chosen to perform a lip-sync battle alongside good friend Sister Sister.
As the song You Keep Me Hangin’ On by Kim Wilde started playing, Ginny walked down the runway and didn’t come back, leaving Sister safe and lip-syncing alone.
Despite the dramatic farewell, Ginny would consider making a comeback to the franchise should the invitation ever be extended, but only so they could hear Ru utter those famous words.
‘The only reason I would go back is so RuPaul can say, “Ginny Lemon, sashay away”,’ Ginny exclusively told Metro.co.uk.
‘So I would go on, purely because at the moment I’m in Drag Race purgatory. I definitely would go back, only to be sent home in the first episode and that’s the only thing I want.’

Reflecting on arguably the most scandalous moment of series two, Ginny insisted that their iconic exit wasn’t staged. ‘I don’t plan a thing, that’s my problem,’ they laughed.
‘If I’d have been more prepared then maybe I would have done better. I’m a hippy at heart and I just go with the flow. I’m a punk bitch and if I’m not having fun then I go home.’
Now that’s a mantra to live by!
Ginny also sat down and spoke to us about what TV needs to do better in support of non-binary stars.

‘What would be really good is for people to be seen as an individual as opposed to a commodity because I suppose that individual would like a little slice of the commodity as well,’ they added.
‘It would also be great if people could start treating each other a bit more human all round – as opposed to a glamorous moving prop.’
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
