Britney Spears ‘called 911 to report herself as victim of conservatorship abuse night before explosive testimony’

Britney Spears reportedly called 911 to report herself as a victim of conservatorship abuse the night before she gave her explosive testimony during a hearing.
The Toxic hitmaker has been under a conservatorship since 2008, which has meant her father Jamie has had control of her finances along with an estate-management firm.
Britney has been fighting to have her father removed from the conservatorship, with the New Yorker reporting that she made a call to the US emergency services before giving her testimony.
The site reports that a person close to Britney, and law enforcement in Ventura County, California (where she currently lives) confirmed the call.
While calls to the emergency services in California are usually available to the public, it’s reported that the county sealed the records of Britney’s call, citing an ongoing investigation.
During her testimony, Britney compared her conservatorship to abuse.

She claimed that she had been ‘exploited’ and alleged that she wasn’t allowed to make personal decisions, including having a baby or getting married.
She alleged that she had an contraceptive IUD (intrauterine device) that she wasn’t allowed to get removed.
Most recently, Britney’s request to have her father Jamie removed as her conservator has been denied.
What is a conservatorship?
A conservatorship is a legal concept in the United States that places someone under the legal protection of an appointed adult.
A guardian or a protector is appointed by a judge to manage different aspects of someone’s life, from their financial affairs to their daily life.
One is usually appointed a conservator if they are suffering from physical or mental issues or declining with age.
A planned conservatorship lasts as long as it is needed, and ends when a conservatee is considered no longer in need of a conservator, for example, if a person is unable to care for their self because of a medical condition, the conservatorship will end when he is treated or recovers sufficiently to care for himself again.
If a conservatorship is unplanned, a court will also assign a caseworker for the conservatee.
The caseworker will remain in contact with the conservator and make certain that the transition goes well, regularly checking on the status of all involved.
The request was made in November by her lawyer Samuel Ingham in court documents that claimed the 39-year-old singer was scared of her father and would refuse to perform again.
Judge Brenda Penny, who denied the request, did not rule out future petitions to suspend him from the conservatorship. The judge also named financial company Bessemer Trust as co-conservator.

According to TMZ, documents filed in Los Angeles state: ‘The conservator’s request to suspend James P. Spears immediately upon the appointment of Bessemer Trust Company of California as sole conservator of estate is denied without prejudice.’
The denial was not in direct response to the star’s explosive testimony.
