Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury – Mauricio Sulaiman Makes His Pick Ahead of the Trilogy

The only fight boxing fans await at the heavyweight roster now is between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. The heavyweight duo will enter the ring against each other on July 24th in a high-voltage trilogy bout. This fight has become a hot topic in the boxing universe and has grabbed everyone’s attention for obvious reasons.

Recently, the WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman shared his notions on this fight and drew comparisons between Wilder and Fury both.

In an interaction with Behind The Gloves, he said, “Well, it’s everything at stake. Wilder had a draw on the first fight, dropped Fury two times, then on the second fight, fury dropped him two times and then knocked him out.”

“It has to do with mentality, has to do with the shape they’re coming into the fight, the willingness to win and it’s a very, very interesting fight and it should be a tremendous event,”

Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder both haven’t competed professionally since their February 2020 outing. ‘The Gypsy King’ was even aligned with his fellow compatriot, Anthony Joshua, for the undisputed title fight.

But ‘The Bronze Bomber’ abruptly came in between this matchup and he aligned himself for a fight with Fury instead. This entire anecdote left Fury fuming, but he took it into his strides and moved ahead to contend with Wilder once again.

This time, the Brit will look forward to ending his feud with Wilder one last time for everyone. Also, a win in this contest will help him battle out more such rugged opponents, and subsequently, fight for the undisputed title.

Tyson Fury all charged up to smother Deontay Wilder again

The world saw how ‘The Gypsy King’ annihilated Wilder in their second outing. He still has that same hunger to hand over a loss to Wilder and eventually signify his boxing run.

Fury has already kicked off his preparations for this trilogy. And more than the belts, this fight will be important for his legacy.

With that, it’ll be intriguing to see how Tyson Fury approaches this fight in order to hammer the Alabama native again.
