Edge Annihilates Jimmy Uso in the Main Event of WWE SmackDown, Sends a Strong Message to Roman Reigns

WWE SmackDown kicked off this week with Edge cutting an impressive promo on Roman Reigns. He let the ‘Tribal Chief’ know that losing the title is inevitable. Later in the night, we saw Jimmy Uso decide to lead the charge and talk some sense into the WWE Hall of Famer. However, things took a ‘Rated-R’ turn.

Roman Reigns gets retribution on Edge for brutal attack on WWE SmackDown

Jimmy Uso came out to the ring and called out Edge. He said although Roman Reigns isn’t around, he will take care of business with Edge. Jimmy said he will prove himself to his cousin, Roman Reigns. And it seemed like he would do just that. Sadly, it only ‘seemed’ like it.

Edge came out and told Jimmy what he really feels about him. He asked what happened to Jimmy’s stance of not being anybody’s b***h and then said it doesn’t matter anymore. The ‘Rated-R Superstar’ walked into the ring and got physical with the new ‘Main Event.’

Jimmy Uso did try to fight back, but Edge being the ‘Ultimate Opportunist’ got back into the game quickly. He put down the former Tag Team Champion with a big boot and followed up with a vicious assault, sending a loud and clear message to his Money in the Bank opponent, Roman Reigns.

The 11-time World Champion annihilated Jimmy Uso with steel steps. However, that wasn’t the only thing he had in store for the ‘Tribal Chief’s’ cousin. He got Uso into a modified crossface submission and then added to his misery. How? Well, Edge decided to give Roman a few flashbacks from WrestleMania.

The WWE Hall of Famer picked up a steel chair at ringside. He then broke a steel rod of the chair and then put it across Jimmy’s mouth and locked in the crossface. Edge screamed at the camera and asked Roman Reigns if he can see the pain in his cousin’s eyes, and that’s how it will be for him, too.

For those who forgot, Edge did the same to the ‘Head of the Table’ during the Universal Championship Triple Threat at WrestleMania 37. However, that time, Daniel Bryan came in to break the hold. This time, if Edge locks it in, there will be nowhere to run for Roman and he would have to tap out.
