“I Could See He Was Twitching a Little Bit” – Tyson Fury Talks About His Face Off With Deontay Wilder

Tyson Fury and his arch-nemesis, Deontay Wilder, are finally in to settle their rivalry on July 24th. The pair will collide for the third time and this contest has already amassed extensive attention from fans and fighters around the world. Many boxing pundits and enthusiasts have distinguished themselves by picking their favorite from this fight. That said, everyone is eager to see how will this fight play out.

A few days back, Fury and Wilder came face to face with each other at of their pre-fight press conference. Both of them stared at each other for almost six minutes, making it the longest stare down in history.

The hard-hitting heavyweights seemed extremely confident, but according to ‘The Gypsy King’, his rival didn’t really look comfortable in that faceoff.

Speaking to Gareth Davies, Fury said, “It was his choice to stand and not turn away for a minute or two and all of a sudden he was feeling uncomfortable and jittery.”

“I could see he was twitching a little bit and stuff, his trainer came over and rescued him, all he did was touch his shoulder and said ‘that’ll do now,’ and he was so happy to be rescued.” (h/t Boxing Scene)

Over the course of time, the rivalry between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury has only increased. The two men have entered the ring space against each other twice. On both occasions, it was ‘The Gypsy King’ who stole the show. Their first fight ended in a tragic draw, but in the rematch, the Brit dominated.

Now, the former champ, who has moved on from the same, is finally looking to avenge his setback. Given his comments after his loss, this rift seems personal, and this time Wilder won’t look to leave any stones unturned.

That said, the world will have its attention on this trilogy which is on the brink of taking place. It’ll be exciting to see who among the two finally settles the scores once for all.
