Love Island 2021: Shannon Singh says twerking and finger-sucking scenes were cut from show

Love Island star Shannon Singh has claimed some of her scenes were cut from the final edit, including some steamy situations with Aaron Francis.

The model was dumped from the villa after bombshell Chloe Burrows coupled up with Aaron, leaving Shannon single.

She became the islander to spend the shortest amount of time in the villa, being dumped after just 48 hours.

Shannon has now said: ‘I’m cheeky, I’m loud, I’m outgoing and I’m definitely not shy. But that didn’t really come across. Great things happened that I thought would have got my personality out there and allowed people to get to know me.

‘Me and Aaron had to do twerking and I ripped my skirt all the way up the front. We had to suck each other’s fingers and look into each other’s eyes, but none of that got shown.’

The 22-year-old added to The Sun: ‘It is 24 hours of filming and they decide whatever they put in that 60-minute episode. I’m not going to lie and say I’m absolutely overjoyed with it. I spent two weeks in quarantine for 48 hours on a show.’

While fans were convinced they were going to see Shannon back in the villa in a recoupling twist, or at least in Casa Amor, those hopes were dashed when she shared that she’d landed back in the UK.

Shannon said she was ‘gutted’ to leave the show early but ‘grateful’ for her time in the villa.

‘I’M BACK EVERYONE!’ she wrote on Instagram. ‘Cannot believe the amount of support I’ve received I love every single one of you!!

‘Thank you to my best friend for life @rubykellll for running my socials whilst I was gone- gutted but SO grateful for the opportunity. Everyone please #bekind.’

In the latest scenes of the show, a recoupling shook the villa, with bombshell Rachel Finni arriving to shake things up even more.

Making a dramatic entrance into the villa, it’s now on Rachel to decide Brad McClelland and Chuggs Wallis’s fate after they were left single in the recoupling.

Love Island declined to comment when contacted by Metro.co.uk.

Love Island returns Sunday at 9pm on ITV2.
