Scots mum blasts daughter’s killer for moaning she’s bored and lonely after prison release

A MUM whose daughter’s killer was freed early from prison today blasted the fiend for whingeing she has no pals on the outside.

Jane Logan, 61, said Siobhan Russell should be “ashamed” of moaning about being bored and lonely following her release after slaying Marie Low, 36.

And she insisted the knife brute should think herself lucky she can still hug her kids — while her own tragic girl will never cuddle her three daughters or her son again.

Jane told of her anguish after Russell, 35, of Dundee — who has kept a low profile since getting out last August — suddenly popped up on social media and started reconnecting with pals.

But she complained she hadn’t made any new friends at her pad on the city’s outskirts, saying: “I’m just staying outside Dundee. It’s s**t.

“Don’t know anyone so stuck in the house.”

Referring to being out of jail after serving less than three years of a five-and-a-half year stretch, she added: “I’ve just been keeping my head down. I’m glad to be out of that s****hole.”

Russell later updated her Facebook profile to say she’d “moved to Dundee”, suggesting she had flitted back to the city.

But when she was asked about her location by a friend, she replied: “I meant that I’m from there. I’m not that far. You can’t get rid of me that easy.”

Shattered Jane slammed the ex-con for her selfishness.

She said: “She should be ashamed of herself for complaining. At least she can still go out. My daughter doesn’t have that choice.

“She can still wrap her arms around her kids. That’s something Marie will never do again.

“She has absolutely destroyed my family. She has no right to moan.

“She should not be out and allowed to live a normal life.

“The justice system is a total joke.”

We told how Russell was locked up on a culpable homicide rap after knifing Marie in the heart in Dundee — in front of her then pregnant daughter Jamie-Lee — during a September 2017 row over a tenner.

Marie’s dad Albert met Justice Secretary Michael Matheson in 2018 to demand tougher sentences for killers.
