Aaron Rodgers Finds No Mention in Green Bay Packers CEO’s Monthly Newsletter

It’s been months since reports of Aaron Rodgers wanting to leave Green Bay. And since then the story has encountered several twists and turns.

While Aaron Rodgers is yet to publicly clarify his stand, the Packers over the past month had been rather vocal. Last month Green Bay Packers CEO Mark Murphy had penned his thoughts about the Rodgers scenario in the team’s official newsletter.

And his words weren’t too kind. Accusing Aaron Rodgers of creating a divide among the Packers fan base, Murphy wasn’t helping the team’s cause at all.

And to go one step further, he even quoted a former Packers GM and referred to Aaron Rodgers as being “a complicated fella.” But after weeks of a verbal onslaught, Murphy seems to have calmed down.

Murphy cools down on Aaron Rodgers talk

Surprisingly, in this month’s Packers newsletter Murphy had nothing to say about Aaron Rodgers. Instead, the Packers CEO talked at length about the side’s minicamp.

Even then, the CEO refrained from mentioning Rodgers. The disgruntled QB has skipped OTAs and mandatory minicamp and was instead spotted vacationing in Hawaii.

While the Packers have refrained from fining Rodgers for the no show, it’s clear very little progress has been made at sorting out the situation.

Murphy further outlined a few dates on the upcoming schedule. Joint practices are set to being with the New York Jets from August 16. But before that, the Packers front office will have to undergo a test of fire.

On July 26, the Green Bay Packers are set to have their annual shareholders meeting. And the main agenda of the meeting will surely be around their franchise quarterback.

The one good takeaway for Packers fans from Murphy’s newsletter is that they’ll be allowed to return to Lambeau Field in full force for 2021.

Whether they’ll be greeted by the sight of Aaron Rodgers or Jordan Love under center though remains to be seen.
