Not everyone was happy with England’s 4-0 win over Ukraine on Saturday – as Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield’s Scottish This Morning boss showed during a hilarious outburst on Monday.

The presenting pair were basking in the aftermath of the comfortable victory over the weekend, when the show’s producer surprised them by appearing to swear in their earpieces.

It came after Holly said: ‘What a weekend. Victory for the Three Lions! I’m sure you’re not bored of it because we really aren’t.’

‘Our Scottish boss is sitting in the gallery now with a sulk on his face,’ Phillip added.

The pair were then left visibly shocked after hearing a message in their ears, although viewers couldn’t be sure what was said.

Phillip put his hand to his ear, while Holly gasped and covered her mouth.

‘Language!’ Phillip said, before Holly added: ‘Not at this time of the morning please!’

‘Oh my goodness, wow!’ Phil said, before Holly went on to say: ‘Sorry you lost your temper there.’

Thankfully, the interruption didn’t put the pair off celebrating the win and they went on to introduce highlights of the four goals.

‘And what a comfortable win it was,’ Phil added. ‘Not one but four goals against Ukraine on Saturday.’

‘Kick it in the goal!’ Holly laughed.

England will now play Denmark in Wednesday’s semi-final after goals from Harry Kane, Harry Maguire and Jordan Henderson. Italy will play Spain on Tuesday in the other semi-final.

On the same show, This Morning viewers were treated to a very cute – and emotional – moment after Holly and Phillip met Dr Zoe Williams’ new baby for the first time.

The pair were introduced to Lisbon Lion Williams-McKay in the studio, with Holly praising their ‘adorable’ new family member.

‘We watched the bump grow and now this little miracle is here!’ Holly said.

This Morning airs on weekdays at 10am on ITV.
