John Cena Family: Is the WWE Superstar Married to Shay Shariatzadeh?

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and John Cena are arguably two of the most popular WWE wrestlers of the 21st century. What do the two have in common apart from wrestling? Both WWE stars are part of the Fast and Furious franchise headlined by Vin Diesel. Also, both of them are two of the highest-paid actors in Hollywood as of 2021.

John Cena’s last appearance in the WWE universe came at Wrestlemania 36. It was in a re-match against “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt. Cena was later defeated by Wyatt in the most dramatic of circumstances. Following that, the wrestler’s motionless body vanished from the middle of the ring.

John was born to John Felix Anthony Cena Sr. and Carol (birth name, Lupien) in Massachusetts. His father is of Italian origin while Carol is of English and French-Canadian lineage. John’s maternal grandfather was former baseball player, Tony Lupien.

Cena’s father also goes by the name ‘Johnny Fabulous’ in wrestling circles. He got the nickname due to his gig as an announcer for Chaotic Wrestling. Cena Sr. even featured in the WWE during his son’s wrestling matches, notably a few involving Randy Orton and Edge.

In addition to that, John Cena also has four siblings. He has an elder brother named Stephen Cena. The other three are younger than him and are known by Dan, Matt and Sean Cena. A family of four boys probably explains why John is a professional wrestler, eh?

The professional wrestler-turned-actor recently tied the knot with his girlfriend, Shay Shariatzadeh. The pair got hitched at an under-the-radar wedding ceremony in October 2020. Shariatzadeh is an engineer by profession.

Previously, John was married to Elizabeth Huberdeau between 2009-12. John and Shay do not have kids yet but are open to the idea of becoming parents in the near future.
