DISASTROUS! Roger Federer Loses His First Straight Sets Match In 19 Years at Wimbledon Championships

It’s a disappointing day for fans of Roger Federer as he looked down and out in the quarter-final matchup against the young Polish star Hubert Hurkacz.

Federer, who defeated Hurkacz before, didn’t get off to a right start as he looked vulnerable on the serve as well as on the return. Hurkacz was reading Federer’s serve well and managed to comfortably hold his serves right throughout the match.

Even though Federer managed to win a few games, it was impossible for the Swiss Maestro to stop the flow of Hurkacz as he raced past Roger to win the first set, 6-3.

Coming to the second set, the eight-time Wimbledon champion was struggling to find his range still despite being a break up against the Polish player.

Hurkacz, who is playing for the first time on Center court, didn’t look wavered by the occasion as he broke Federer’s game and took the second set to a tie-breaker.

It was Hurkacz’s dominance all over in the breaker as he dominated the Swiss star right through out and forced errors out of him to clinch the second set, 7-6.

Once the second set was over, it was almost curtains for Federer as he couldn’t do much in the third and was bageled by the Polish player, who reaches his first-ever Wimbledon semi-finals.
