My ex won’t let me see my daughter – I don’t even know where they live
DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER we split up last year, my ex-girlfriend stopped me from seeing my seven-year-old daughter and I’m heartbroken.
My ex, who is 29, took her to live somewhere up north. I don’t have the address and she won’t respond to my calls or texts.
I feel like my ex is punishing me because our relationship didn’t work out
I don’t even know if my daughter is safe.
I miss my little girl so much and think about her all the time. Not being able to see or speak to her is killing me.
I can’t even send her cards or presents.

I’m 29 and feel like my ex is punishing me because our relationship didn’t work out. We did argue a lot and sometimes it got pretty toxic.
I’m terrified I’ll never see my daughter again. Please help.
DEIDRE SAYS: You and your ex may have fallen out, but it’s cruel to deny you contact with your daughter, and unfair to the child.
If she won’t speak to you, is there a friend or relative who can mediate between you?
Please contact Families Need Fathers (fnf.org.uk, 0300 0300 363) who can help.
In the meantime, my support pack When Parents Fall Out explains more about kids’ feelings and needs in these situations.
