Matthew Perry was all smiles in his latest Instagram post, weeks after his appearance on the Friends reunion caused concern amongst fans.
The 51-year-old has had a rough couple of months, having split from his fiance of six months Molly Hurwitz in June.
However, the actor shared a snapshot from ‘happy days’ to his Instagram, and fans were delighted to see Matthew in good spirits.
In the shot shared with his 7.9 million followers, Matthew beamed as he looked off to the side in a restaurant, with whoever he was sharing dinner with taking the picture.
The star, best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, wore a black long-sleeved top and a backwards cap, and captioned the pic: ‘Happy days…’
Fans commented on how good it was to see Matthew smiling, and wished him well.
At the end of May, Friends fans watched as Matthew reunited with his five former co-stars – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer – to reminisce about the legendary sitcom, which ended in 2004.
On the HBO Max special, the cast looked concerned as Matthew expressed how the live taping of episodes affected his mental health.
He said: ‘To me, I felt like I was going to die if they didn’t laugh. And it’s not healthy, for sure.
‘But I would sometimes say a line and they wouldn’t laugh and I would sweat and just go into convulsions. If I didn’t get the laugh I was supposed to get, I would freak out.’

Following the reunion, there were concerns about Matthew’s health, but Friends executive producer Kevin Bright brushed off any rumours, telling the Hollywood Reporter: ‘I talked to him. It was great seeing him again. And what people say is what people say… I think he’s OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward.’
The star had previously struggled with substance abuse throughout the making of Friends.
Days after the Friends reunion aired, Matthew confirmed that he had split from literary agent Molly, 29, after getting engaged in November.
