Wayne and Coleen Rooney were in the thick of the celebrations as England won their Euro 2020 game against Denmark last night.

The married couple took up seats at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday where the historic clash unfolded, resulting in England winning 2-1 and sailing through to the final against Italy on Sunday.

Joining all the famous faces in the stands, the Rooneys brought their eldest sons, Kai, 11, Klay, eight, and Kit, five, while leaving three-year-old Cass at home for the evening.

After witnessing Harry Kane score the winning goal during the extra time, Coleen filmed footage of the raucous celebrations as England fans jumped and cheered in the stands. The couple gathered their brood for a sweet family photo, which showed their boys – clad in England shirts – grinning excitedly from ear to ear.

‘What a night!!…. Fantastic England, it’s almost Home 🏆,’ Coleen captioned the image.

Wayne also shared a separate photo to his Instagram stories showing him carrying Kit on his shoulders.

Hours before, Coleen had posted video clips of her waking up her sleeping sons by playing the England football anthem, Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home), in their bedrooms. Cass seemed to be the only one awake with the early birds as the other boys, lying in their beds with football-themed duvets, struggled to get up.

Before attending the match, the latest update with Coleen and Rebekah Vardy’s libel case unfolded at London’s High Court.

It was a partial victory for Vardy as the judge agreed to throw out part of Coleen’s defence in the trial of the WAGs.

In 2019, Rooney, 35, accused her fellow WAG Vardy, 39, of leaking ‘false stories’ about her private life after carrying out a ‘sting operation’ for several months, leading to her being dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’.

previously filed a request with the High Court to throw out parts of Rooney’s defence as they were ‘irrelevant or peripheral’ to the case.

These included allegations that Vardy had a close relationship with The Sun newspaper and her alleged authorship of ‘The Secret Wag’ column which she has denied.

On Wednesday, Mrs Justice Steyn delivered her judgment and threw out parts of Rooney’s defence but allowed some aspects to remain.
