AEW star Chris Jericho swung for a fan who tried to get in the ring on AEW Dynamite last night.
The former WWE superstar was making his way to the ring for his segment with on-screen rival MJF when a member of the crowd managed to get onto the ramp as the company hit the road for the first time in 15 months.
Jericho immediately gave a signal to security who charged forward to grab the fan, and as they pulled him past the ring the former world champion hit out at the ‘stage invader’.
Without missing a beat, MJF immediately turned it into part of the show as he issued a strong warning to anyone else who tried to get in the ring during the Road Rager special.
‘I welcome any other one of you fat, white trash hicks to jump in the ring too, so I can beat your ass,’ he shouted.
Commentator Jim Ross added: ‘Well, we don’t condone that kind of behaviour, quite frankly.’
And MJF wasted no time in switching back into game mode, as he immediately turned attention back to storyline being played out in the ring.
Sitting back down opposite Jericho, he said: ‘This ain’t about them, Chris, it’s about us.’
During the segment, MJF referenced the Labour of Hercules – his ‘favourite Greek story’ and revealed the stipulation for Jericho getting one more match against his bitter rival.
He said: ‘You’re gonna have five labours, Chris. The first four will be opponents of my choosing, all with different stipulations, and you have to win back-to-back matches.
‘And if you manage to get through the first four, which you won’t, you get that MJF rub one more time. You get an opportunity to wrestle me again. And when I beat you for a third time, hopefully you get it through your thick skull that I’m better than you, and you know it.’
Jericho accepted the challenge, and even suggested if he doesn’t rise to the occasion then he might not ‘deserve to be in AEW’.

He added: ‘If I can’t last your Labours of Jericho, and if I can’t beat you, maybe I don’t deserve to be in AEW. But I’ll tell you this, if you’re gonna talk about Greek mythology, I am your guy.
‘I accept your labours because I’m the God of the battle, I’m the God of thunder, I’m the God of War in AEW, and I’m gonna beat you.’
The pair went to shake hands after signing their contract, only for Jericho to hit the Judas Effect on MJF to stand tall.
