Dua Lipa is being sued for sharing paparazzi photos of herself on Instagram, it has been claimed.

The Levitating singer posted a photo of herself, taken by Integral Images, in February, 2019.

According to Billboard, the company has filed an eight-page lawsuit against the 25-year-old over the post, asking for $150,000.

The picture in question showed her ready to jet away on her travels, wearing an oversized hat as she clutched her plane ticker and passport.

‘I’ll be living under big fluffy hats until further notice,’ she captioned the photo, which has now been removed.

The BBC reports that Integral Images has claimed she profited from the photo, as her public page acts as a marketing tool for her music.

It is reportedly seeking $150k (£108k) damages and has asked for a jury trial, stating she shared the picture ‘without permission or authorisation’.

As well as this, Integral Images is said to be also asking for legal costs, and an order preventing Dua from further acts of infringement.

‘The Account is monetised in that it contains content designed to accumulate followers who are directed to, via link and/or advertisement, consume and purchase Defendant’s content, Defendant profits from these activities,’ the complaint reads.

She has yet to speak publicly on the news.

Dua is the latest in a long line of celebrities who have found themselves in a lawsuit after sharing pap photos of themselves on social media.

The claims come after the Physical singer teased that she could be making a change in her career, thanks to her tour being put on hold.

Due to the pandemic, she has been unable to hit the road to perform for fans as a result of lockdown restrictions.

Spilling the beans on what else she could get up to, she told the Sun: ‘I would really like to. It is something I’m definitely up for exploring and figuring it out, maybe with a small role first.

‘I am quite intrigued and excited about the prospect of doing something else at some point.’

Metro.co.uk has contacted Dua’s reps for a comment.
