Former WWE superstar JTG has given Matt Cardona a gruesome warning before his upcoming deathmatch against Nick Gage.
The IMPACT Wrestling star will battle his fierce rival at GCW: Homecoming later this month, and now his fellow WWE alum has sent him a message before the big day after competing in his own brutal bout.
Although he didn’t reveal the specific match, it’s clear NWA’s JTG went all out as he can be seen picking broken glass out of his own body with some tweezers.
He tweeted: ‘I’m wishing all the best to @TheMattCardona in his match with @thekingnickgage . I don’t think Matt knows what he’s getting himself into.
‘Matt…this is me picking glass out of my skin a week after getting hit with a Light Tube (sic)’
Ouch! Here’s your final warning – the video is pretty graphic.
Cardona replied: ‘Damn. I shouldn’t have opened my twitter app.’
The friendly advice comes after Gage offered a pretty violent warning to his upcoming opponent, vowing to ‘slice’ him with a light tube when they meet at Homecoming in a clash of styles and culture.
While Gage himself represents the deathmatch scene like no other, Cardona – who previously appeared in WWE as Zack Ryder – is seen to typify the sports entertainment side.
However, after hearing his opponent’s words, the 36-year-old star made it clear he’s not going to be intimidated, especially after Gage claimed he ‘has no clue what he’s getting himself into’.

He tweeted: ‘The same can be said for him. I’ve beaten cancer…TWICE. I can certainly beat this backyard wrestler. And I will…’
Of course, his opponent is no slouch and has overcome plenty of in-ring injuries, including his earlobe melting off after one bloody bout.
Recalling the moment he got to hospital in a deleted scene from Dark Side of the Ring, he said: ‘They were like, “Oh my God! Holy s**t!” And they rush me back to the burn unit right away. But it was second degree burns, so I was lucky, you know?’
