Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7: New Content Incoming Including the Ability To Pick Up Alien Parasites

One of the biggest reasons Fortnite has been able to retain dedicated players of the game, as well as bring new ones in, is because Epic always keeps the game fresh by introducing new content.

Chapter 2 season 7 of the game saw the inclusion of aliens and new space-themed weapons and items. As Epic has ensured a near-constant supply of new content, there’s more things in store for players including the ability to pick up alien parasites.

Fortnite: new changes the game is set to get soon

Holly Hatchery

Holly Hatchery, formerly known as Holly Hedges, has seen some major changes this season, courtesy of the alien invasion in the game. If a player wants to know how Holly Hatchery has changed, all they’ve got to do is visit the place.

Upon visiting, they will notice a cube-like structure. Should a player enter the zone/structure, they will find themselves in an area with zero gravity. And as time moves forward, the zero gravity zone will only get bigger. The area will also contain alien props and alien trees.

The no gravity zone in Holly Hatchery is supposed to grow in the upcoming days, it’ll be the size of the POI and props/trees will become aliens themed!

We might even see other POIs get the same thing, as teased in week 4 challenges!

This is one of the most significant map changes the game has seen in a while. And more map changes will present themselves when the time is right, with the continuation of the invasion.

Alien Parasites

By the time season 7 ends, players are expected to gain the ability to pick up alien parasites. How these parasites will be used is up for speculation since Epic hasn’t said anything about it. But data miners have ascertained that the max number of alien parasites players will get to carry is 2. Perhaps these parasites could be used as projectiles to create some sort of impact or effect. Or maybe they will serve some other purpose. As things stand right now, no one knows what the use of these alien parasites will be.

This season has turned out to be a blast, and it seems like it’ll get even better. Fortnite is doing a great job keeping the game fresh and engaging!
