A LUXURY superyacht has been designed to look just like a Star Wars spaceship.

The Estrella Superyacht has been designed by Yeojin Jung who happens to be a Star Wars fan.

According to Techeblog, the designer said: “Estrella will present the next generation of superyacht for ultra-high-net-worth individuals.

“This concept will provide a dynamic experience to people by dividing the hull wings into three volumes.

“By providing different views of Mediterranean Sea, they perceive the surroundings.

“Also, it can make intimate experience with nature by providing innovative layout.”

The design of the 342-foot-long vessel was inspired by the Y-Wing and a Naboo Royal Starship.

Star Wars fans may have noticed the similarities instantly.

Two floater components on each side of the yacht create its distinctive look.

They’re connected by a bridge that spans the hull.

The “tri-swath” design is said to cause some balance issues.

Jung has counteracted this issue by giving the main hull fin stabilisers.

The superyacht’s hull is made of lightweight aluminium.

It’s been designed with a hybrid diesel engine in mind for easy water gliding.

The aim is for it to achieve a cruising speed of 15 knots for its mega rich owners.

In other news, a superyacht that aims to be the ‘Noah’s Ark of science’ is in the works.

We previously revealed a mind-blowing superyacht designs including a floating Monaco and a ‘flying’ vessel for billionaires.

And, the world has a new ocean – at least according to National Geographic.
